One of my favorite things about traveling is finding cute little shops and restaurants in other cities. The only sad part is each time I wish I had my sister, mom or friends along with me because I know they’d love these places too. Rude Awakening coffee shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina is one of those places!
A few weeks ago I arrived in Fayetteville and had about an hour to kill, so I searched for coffee shops in my GPS and this one popped up. The name made me laugh because I’m not a morning person and after a week of traveling and airport food I was ready for something different.
Very different!
This place was 100 times better than an airport coffee shop!
As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with this case of delicious pies and cakes.
Beware…If you make it past the first case of sweets, there’s another one on the other side of the counter!
Coffee shops are dangerous places.
I’m not a huge desserts person but these were hard to pass up. I went with an iced raspberry mocha instead and it was de-li-cious. I even came back a few days later on my way out of town.
