The Boozy Baker

After margaritas on Cinco and the amazing pitcher of sangria my mom made for Mother’s Day, I’m all about this cookbook I found while browsing around Barnes and Noble the other day. There are so many cute, fun cookbooks out right now but this one really jumped out at me.  Maybe it was the title?

Lucy Baker is a food writer and recipe tester, which seems fitting for someone whose last name is Baker.  You can find her at ABookInTheOven.com or writing for SeriousEats.com.

I’m loving the Southern Comfort Red Velvet Cake.

How can you go wrong with that combination?

And there’s the Lavendar Honey-Nut Cupcakes with Amaretto, one of my favorite liqueurs…second only to Cointreau (which can also be found in this cookbook!)

Ohh, here’s a yummy recipe incorporating a little Jack… Donut Bread Pudding with Tennessee Whiskey Sauce.

The fun thing is this cookbook includes recipes for both desserts and cocktails, so you can enjoy a drink while you cook!

You can find The Boozy Baker in bookstores and on Amazon.
