Carolina Style

North Carolina is one of my favorite places, so I’m excited to be blogging from Charlotte today! This is such a cool, laid-back city, and I feel right at home – besides the fact I’m living out of a suitcase of course…

The only negative? Thanks to all the humidity, my hair is reaching pageant-worthy heights.

Some of my favorite places and things so far: Amelie French Bakery & Cafe, Basil Thai, the street musicians, and lots of great outdoor patios and seating downtown. If I had more time, I’d love to make the two hour drive to Asheville, but that will have to wait until next time!

I used to live in Raleigh. Charlotte is great. You should check out Asheville next time around.

If you get to Ashville try to do the “Behind the scenes tour” at the Biltmore Mansion- it shows all the workings of the place(keep in mind 1895) when you see the technology they had available. Much more meaningfull than just looking at the fancy public rooms.
